- 3/4 cup butter
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 egg
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- water
- additional sugar for coating
Cream butter and sugar together.
Add egg, mixing well.
Add flour, baking powder and salt.
Beat until well mixed.
Roll dough into 1-inch balls.
Dip top of each ball into water, then into sugar.
Place on ungreased cookie pan 2-inches apart.
Bake in 350-degree preheated oven for 8 to 14 minutes or until lightly brown around edges.
